TADA's guest teachers and volunteers

TADA would not exist without its thousands of volunteers participating each school year.

Guest teachers play a fundamental role at TADA. They are all passionate individuals, devoting some of their free time, one or a few Saturdays per year, to sharing their enthusiasm and their professional experience with the TADA kids. In collaboration with the TADA team, they put their expertise into experiential workshops geared toward children.

TADA also has numerous regular volunteers, assisting on a weekly or monthly basis in several ways. They provide logistical support or help with homework, translation, etc.

These volunteers completely feel TADA’s spirit and they often learn new things themselves as well! Because of them, our teenagers are blossoming. We can not thank our guest teachers and volunteers enough!

Most of the people who get to know TADA are enthusiastic about the way it works: nine out of ten guest teachers want to come back after their first experience. They often recommend TADA to friends or colleagues because of the ‘mutually enriching experience’ TADA provides. All of the regular volunteers say they find working with the TADA kids energizing.

  • I was really impressed by the children’s design process. They were thinking critically, looking for solutions, trying out different options and within a short period, managed to give well-constructed answers to the builder’s questions.

  • This was my second time at TADA. Again, a success. This time, I organized a workshop around nursing care. We prepared the day with my colleagues and students of the Erasmushogeschool. We offered seven workshops to the TADA kids. Everyone was exhausted but very happy!

  • What an honor to support this project. This week, I’ve been thinking back on this wonderful day with a big smile, I hope we were able to inspire a passion for fashion! Thank you for the happy environment that gives such warm and love. TADA is a project that I carry in my heart and I thank you for being able to be a part of it.

  • Law… for and by everyone. These youths have illustrated this with great success when they took on the role of a lawyer, prosecutor or judge. Such role-play reminds us that our future is in the hands of the youth. Fortunately, our young have a lot to offer, and love justice!

  • TADA has not only opened a new world for the kids but also for me. I had 25 little geniuses in the class.

Tim Verheyden, VRT journalist, guest teacher – journalism class

  • The kids and their understanding of the material impressed me.

Wouter Crets, former biochemist, guest teacher - biochemist class

  • Unexpected and moving, this is how I would describe my experience as a guest teacher at TADA. Kids had stars in their eyes while discovering an unknown world. ToekomstATELIERdelAvenir’s cause is more than noble. These young kids are pushed to think about their own ambitions, their possibilities and making their dreams come true. Afterwards, I had excellent memories and a great sense of satisfaction from my experience at TADA.
